For this once-in-a-lifetime New Year we offer you:

Day-by-day program
DAY 1
Arrival at Skellefteå Airport or Jörn Train Station.
We pick you up and drive you to your accommodation, in Svansele. During your stay you will sleep in the room by the “bagarstuga”, the village’s fire oven. Bathroom and kitchen are located in the next house, the old school.
If you come by train, a free ride is offered to you this afternoon!
We all meet around a nice dinner and we present you the next 7 days.

DAY 2
Breakfast at the old school.
For this first day of activity you will discover our Icelandic horses and their specificities. You will get to know your companions for the next days during an easy ride in the forest, during which you will have the chance to try the tölt, a very special and comfortable gait. We come back at the farm for lunch.
In the afternoon we saddle our horses again and go discover more snowy paths.

DAY 3
Breakfast at the guest house.
This day is dedicated to the Sami culture. In a genuine reindeer farm, you will get to share a moment with a Sami family and will have the chance to learn more about their animals and their lifestyle.

DAY 4
In the morning we will drive to Ruskträsk, where Lina and Morgan will introduce you to their lovely sled dogs and take you for a beautiful ride in the snowy wilderness. You make a break in the middle of the day for a wilderness lunch around the fire. Then driver and passager change roles*, and here we go again!
At the end of your first day as a musher, we you drive back to Svansele.

DAY 5
It’s New Year’s Eve!
Breakfast at the old school.
We start this special day with a nice quiet ride in the snow, enjoying the late winter morning light and the calm of the forest.
In the afternoon, everyone is free to prepare the New Year as they wish. Outside playing in the snow, inside playing board games or reading, there are many possibilities!
The evening is dedicated to celebration. Altogether, we will welcome the New Year around a festive dinner carefully prepared by our chef.

DAY 6
After a good breakfast, we head up to the farm to meet our 4-legged friends again. And this time, we ride for a whole day!
We will take our lunch with us in our saddle bags and have a nice break in the forest in the middle of our ride.
Back at the farm, we take care of our horses before warming up ourselves with comforting refreshments.

DAY 7
Time to leave winter wonderland!
After breakfast, we drive you to Skellefteå Airport or Jörn Train Station so you can take your transportation to Stockholm.
Group: 2 to 4 persons
Level: Good physical condition needed
Age: 10 years old minimum
Dates: December 27th, 2021 to January 2nd, 2022 – 2 places left
We can adapt this program to your wishes, to the age and the level of the participants. It is also possible to change the dates and the length of the stay according to your own availibility.
